Privacy Policy

Short version: if you comment the keyword under one of our reels, we use your Instagram username and comment ID to send you one direct message with the link and guide you asked for. We keep a small log of that so we never message you twice, and we delete it after 90 days. We don't sell, share or advertise with your data.
Who we are
The Debug Duo is the Instagram creator account @thedebugduo, which publishes short tutorials about developer tools. This policy covers our Instagram account, the automation that answers comments on it, and the guide pages on thedebugduo.pages.dev.
What we collect and why
We only process data that Instagram gives our app through Meta's official Instagram API, and only for comments on our own posts.

We don't collect your email, phone number, location, contacts, followers or any data from posts that aren't ours. We don't build profiles, don't use your data for advertising and don't sell or rent it to anyone.
Legal basis
You ask for the link by commenting the keyword, so we process the minimum data needed to give it to you (your request / our legitimate interest in answering it). You can stop at any time by not commenting, deleting your comment, or asking us to delete your data (below).
Guide pages
The guide pages on thedebugduo.pages.dev are static pages. They use no cookies, no analytics and no trackers, and they have no forms. They are served by Cloudflare Pages, which processes standard request data such as your IP address to deliver the page, under Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Who processes the data
- Meta (Instagram) — the platform where comments and messages happen. Instagram Privacy Policy.
- n8n — our automation, running on a server hosted by Heroku (Salesforce), which reads comments on our reels and keeps the 90-day log described above.
- Cloudflare — hosts the guide pages.
Data may be processed outside your country (for example in the United States) by these providers under their own safeguards.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to its use. See Data deletion for how to ask; we answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU/EEA or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Our content is for developers and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age for Instagram in your country).
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the effective date above.
